Abstract: BSCAMPP (Wedell et al., IEEE/ACM Trans Comp Biol Bioinf 2025) is a method for scalable phylogenetic placement. It uses divide-and-conquer to enable computationally intensive methods, such as pplacer or EPA-ng, to scale to large trees (we have demonstrated this ability for trees with at least 200,000 leaves). BSCAMPP is available in github at (github).
