Abstract: In this talk, we show that for random planar maps arising from ergodic scale-free environments, their circle packing and Riemann uniformization embedding are close to the a priori embedding on a large scale. Ergodic scale-free environments was first considered by Gwynne, Miller and Sheffield (2018), where they proved that random walks on these graphs converge to Brownian motion. This is an intermediate step towards proving the convergence of UST weighted planar maps to sqrt{2}-LQG under circle packing and Riemann uniformization embedding. Based on joint work with Nina Holden.
